Maryhill’s Team works with medical providers in the Niagara-Iron Mountain-Norway area to provide treatment options for each Resident. We receive admissions for care from hospitals throughout the region including Dickinson County Health Care System locally, Marquette General in Marquette, Bellin, St. Vincent’s, and St. Mary’s in Green Bay, Appleton Medical Center, St. Elizabeth, and Theda Clark in the Fox Valley, as well as hospitals in Milwaukee, Madison, Marshfield, Mayo, and various VA Hospitals. Our facility collaborates with these resources to ensure Residents transition smoothly into our environment.
We have one Medical Director at Maryhill, who provides guidance, support, and is actively involved in oversight of the Medical professionals providing treatment. Our Medical Director is actively involved in our Quality Improvement program, and consults with and gives direction to our Care Team, as well as keeping us informed of important innovations in health care. Our Medical Director makes routine rounds on a bi-weekly basis.
Residents can choose their own physician, and we have several who come to Maryhill on a regular basis.
If the Resident has a local physician who does not come to our building, they can see their physician at their office and our Licensed Nurses will keep that physician aware of the Resident’s condition by telephone. Appointments are scheduled by our Licensed Nurses so that each Resident is seen by their physician. Please see our FAQ section.
Dr. Paul Hayes, our Medical Director, is willing to accept patients who are admitted to Maryhill in addition to those patients they have seen in the community, if desired by the Resident.
Our Consultant Pharmacist reviews our pharmacy services in the facility on a monthly basis, making recommendations regarding pharmacy indicators to the physicians and our Licensed Nurses. Pharmacists are available to Maryhill 24 hours each day by telephone for consultation.
